Disney would already be planning a sequel to Mulán's live-action


Due to the contingency caused by the new coronavirus, Disney still can't release its realistic remake of Mulan. The live-action film that will present a new version of the story of the warrior who saved China originally had its premiere set for last March, however, Mulan imdb now it expects to hit theaters in late July.

In that scenario, it is still a mystery how Mulán's reception will be and if this bet directed by Niki Caro (The Zookeeper’s Wife) will meet the expectations of the fans and the studio.

However, according to a new rumor, Disney would fully trust the good performance of Mulan's live-action and they would even be developing a sequel to the remake.

According to filter Daniel Richtman (via The Disney Insider), currently Disney would be in the early stages of developing a sequel to Mulan, and producers Chris Bender, Jason Reed and Jake Weiner would be linked to this project.

Of course, all of this falls under the category of rumors, and while nothing is confirmed yet, the report says the live-action sequel would not follow the same line as Mulan 2, the continuation of the original animated film that premiered in 2004. directly on the home market.
